David and his wife, Carolyn, moved to GVRCA from a Chicago suburb in June of 2007 and live in the Horizons sub-association. They have found the GVRCA community to be a great place to live. In particular, the people have proven to be friendly, open and helpful neighbors.
David is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a major in Industrial Management. After graduation, he spent about five years at Ford Motor Company working in manufacturing engineering. The remainder of his business career was spent as a management consultant primarily with two firms: Booz Allen & Hamilton Consulting, and Deloitte Consulting. As a consultant, David served many Fortune 500 companies working and managing a variety of assignments involving; operations improvement, maintenance management, financial analyses and planning, strategic planning, organization restructuring, and processing reengineering.
David’s prior community service included an appointment to a city planning commission for a suburb of Chicago. He also served in Illinois as a board member for a homeowner’s association and later became board president.
“I would like to help ensure the ongoing continuity and lifestyle of the GVRCA. Timely decision-making and effective communication are two critical keys to success. I have the time, willingness and flexibility to meet the various and sometimes unexpected demands placed upon an association board member,” states David. He looks forward to the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community.
